In the great galaxy of retro-futurism, Ambeyance is a spaceship launched at full speed. The flying building is a pop structure with Italian-disco corners, tinted 80’s, drawing as much from Bobby Orlando, New Order, Zombie Zombie or The Knife.
The duo, composed of Charlotte Boisselier (Oktober Lieber) and Eric Thomas, released their first opus, DIVA, in March on Les Disques du Festival Permanent founded by Gaspar Claus.
A concentrate of hypnotic drums and chiseled pop songwriting. Sparkling is post-punk guitar, both furious and elegant, somewhere between London and Cologne.
“I want to see everything”… A disarming album name of sincerity. Sparkling is not a group of posers and succeeds in bringing a new wind to the genre in an album.
