TaxiWars is the result of a dream long cherished by Tom Barman, frontman of dEUS, who wanted to do something about jazz.
Saxophonist Robin Verheyen, a resident of NYC, proved to be the ideal accomplice. For two albums already, the result is a metropolitan jazz that smells good New York and whose instruments seem directly connected to Barman’s nervous system. The sound palette is even richer on “Artifical Horizon”, to be released soon. So take a look at the superb single “Sharp Practice”, described by the English press as “a deeply impulsive, energetic groove that steams jazz with late eighties hip-hop beats”.
