TaxiWars is the result of a dream long cherished by Tom Barman, frontman of dEUS, who wanted to do something about jazz.
Saxophonist Robin Verheyen, a resident of NYC, proved to be the ideal accomplice. For two albums already, the result is a metropolitan jazz that smells good New York and whose instruments seem directly connected to Barman’s nervous system. The sound palette is even richer on « Artifical Horizon », to be released soon. So take a look at the superb single « Sharp Practice », described by the English press as « a deeply impulsive, energetic groove that steams jazz with late eighties hip-hop beats ».
