The Psychotic Monks
Crazy alchemists, the Psychotic Monks mix melodies, walls of atonal sounds and obscure noises in their songs.
Inspired, among other things, by the Bad Seeds clique, by Sonic Youth and Joy Division, or perhaps rather by the films of Cronenberg, Lynch and Wim Wenders, they create a chaos that borders on trance.
There are those moments of absolute darkness, and there are those who illuminate a path where you can see no further than two steps forward.
Future Old People Are Wizards
Future Old People Are Wizards is first and foremost FOPAW for intimates. For the others, it is a Ghent group set up by Stijn Vanmarsenille (Drums Are For Parades) and Nele De Gussem (Maya’s Moving Castle). And talking about “climbing” to evoke Future Old People Are Wizards is a very appropriate choice, as the group likes not to have their feet on the ground, but rather their heads in dark clouds, where the storm bursts out as they watch noise, sludge and psychedelic sounds masterfully pull their stuffing. Motorpsycho or Evil Superstars fans will appreciate….
