Dylan Cox en showcase @ Balades Sonores

On tour in Europe this autumn, Californian singer-songwriter Dylan Cox blends aching lyricism and room-filling melodies into indie folk ballads.

His songs are deeply personal and emotive worlds of attention- places to look at the world, at loss, joy, grief, wonder, and affection. As musician and writer, songs are unique collages of the different experiences of a life – one of poetry and literature, travel, hospitality, expressions of what it means to be a friend, a lover, a brother, a son.

His first single “Animals in the Kitchen” was released in 2021, followed by the EP “A Place to Meet” in 2022, produced by Abe Rounds (drummer for Meshell Ndegeocello, Blake Mills, Joni Mitchell) and Sarah Walk. He works currently in Los Angeles with collaborators of Andrew Bird, Nick Hakim, Madison Cunningham among others.
After living in France since 2019, he’s recently returned to his origins California and a music community, releasing 2 new singles “The Painted Goose” and “Surprise” in 2024 along with a new record to come 2025.
