John Prine’s Found Dogs is a newly curated archival release celebrating the 30th anniversary of Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings. Drawn from the original recording sessions and demos from the era, Found Dogs collects alternate versions, acoustic performances, and five previously unreleased tracks, offering a rare look into Prine’s songwriting and studio process during a pivotal period of his career.
Highlights include alternate takes of « Ain’t Hurtin’ Nobody » and « Quit Hollerin’ At Me, » a solo acoustic version of « Humidity Built the Snowman, » demos such as « Lake Marie, » and unreleased recordings including « Hey Ah Nothin’, » « World Without Love, » and « Dogs in Burlington. » All tracks have been newly mastered for vinyl. Released on LP by Oh Boy Records, the Record Store Day edition of Found Dogs is foil-numbered.
