« one year ago i invited a group of friends to come celebrate the new year and break in the recently completed flying cloud barn studio. i had some tunes ready and a general concept to make a live feeling guitar record where i played mostly bass. we rang in the new year with a midnight plunge in the river that stretches around the studio, and the next day we slowly rolled into the cloud to begin cutting what would become my 4th LP.the last record I made was so much a product of the recent stay inside years, so i made a concerted effort to make this one feel present, fluid, wild, social. »
