Then I started to write CYBERILLA. Almost a year ago.
Title means Siberia, Cyber-Era, Cyber IA (french word for AI) and of course Cyber Guerilla. And this album is a combination of all that in a complication context.
Considering the influence of Caleb, the first track to come out is #6 « Goin’ Bad Ass (With You) ». This is a « single » with « lyrics ». It’s about us, about our lives, together and not, across space and time, fortunately or not, interacting with people as we can, most of time on misunderstanding mode.
I yet wrote / did the vocals for The Curtains but it’s only the second released vocals track by SYLDAG (there is a 3rd live only called ‘Thanos’). We did 3 takes for the french vocals version but more than 2 dozens for the english one. Note also the french version is not an overdub of the english one but another take, a bit quieter focusing on the words; there’s also another take mixing french and english vocals (not released yet). It’s definitly a dirty little lofi post-punk track a bit skinned & scratched. Hey, do you expect anything but that from Bad Ass people? But we’re not of that kind, no… Lyrics are on the track page and as a jpg dl bonus. So, you can shimmy, laugh, puff, headbang on it or look down on us, no worry, it’s ok.
